Polymer properties can be experimentally tailored by adding small amounts of different fillers, but they are expensive with respect to the classical polymer materials. This paper has been studied the enhancement and controlling of electric and dielectric properties of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) polymer materials by cost-fewer nanoparticles. Certain percentages of clay and fumed silica nanoparticles have been enhanced electric and dielectric properties of low-density polyethylene nanocomposite. Dielectric spectroscopy has been measured the electric and dielectric properties of low-density polyethylene with and without nanofillers at various frequencies (10Hz-100kHz) and temperatures (20°C, 40°C and 60°C). Also, it has been investigated the optimum percentages of nanofillers with respect to nanofillers type, filler concentration and temperature for enhancing electric and dielectric characterization of low-density polyethylene. Experimental measurements have been carried out on dielectric breakdown strength of new polyethylene nanocomposites materials under variant electric fields (uniform, and non-uniform) and variant temperatures. It has been specified the effective nanofillers factors on dielectric breakdown strength of polyethylene nanocomposites materials

Atypical Clinical Manifestations of Graves' Disease: An Analysis in Depth

Over the past few decades, there has been an increase in the number of reports about newly recognized (atypical or unusual) manifestations of Graves' disease (GD), that are related to various body systems. One of these manifestations is sometimes the main presenting feature of GD. Some of the atypical manifestations are specifically related to GD, while others are also similarly seen in patients with other forms of hyperthyroidism. Lack of knowledge of the association between these findings and GD may lead to delay in diagnosis, misdiagnosis, or unnecessary investigations. The atypical clinical presentations of GD include anemia, vomiting, jaundice, and right heart failure. There is one type of anemia that is not explained by any of the known etiological factors and responds well to hyperthyroidism treatment. This type of anemia resembles anemia of chronic disease and may be termed GD anemia. Other forms of anemia that are associated with GD include pernicious anemia, iron deficiency anemia of celiac disease, and autoimmune hemolytic anemia. Vomiting has been reported as a presenting feature of Graves' disease. Some cases had the typical findings of hyperthyroidism initially masked, and the vomiting did not improve until hyperthyroidism has been detected and treated. Hyperthyroidism may present with jaundice, and on the other hand, deep jaundice may develop with the onset of overt hyperthyroidism in previously compensated chronic liver disease patients. Pulmonary hypertension is reported to be associated with GD and to respond to its treatment. GD-related pulmonary hypertension may be so severe to produce isolated right-sided heart failure that is occasionally found as the presenting manifestation of GD

Relationship between genetic similarity and some productive traits in local chicken strains

Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique was applied to detect genetic similarity between five local chicken strains that have been selected for eggs and meat production in Egypt. Based on six oligonucleotide primers, the genetic similarity between the egg-producing strains (Anshas, Silver Montazah and Mandarah) ranged from 72.4 to 85.4%. While the genetic similarity between the two chicken strains selected for meat production (Baheij and El-Salam) is 86.9%. (African Journal of Biotechnology: 2003 2(2): 46-47

Condensation of 1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-amine with the appropriate sodium (E)-(2-oxocycloalkylidene)methanolate gave 7,8-dihydro-6H-cyclopenta[e][1,2,4]triazolo [1,5-a]pyrimidine, 6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]quinazoline, 7,8,9,10-tetra hydro-6H-cyclohepta[e][1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine and 6,7,8,9,10,11-hexahydro cycloocta[e][1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine. Structures of the newly synthesized compounds were elucidated via elemental analyses, spectral (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 2D NMR), and X-ray single crystal diffraction data. These derivatives showed potent anti-tumor cytotoxic activity in vitro using different human cancer cell lines

In the article is considered the problem of support of Sudan population with available pharmaceutical production. The aim of research is an analysis of the price and assortment policy realized by the different pharmaceutical structures, determination of the level of their functions on guaranteeing the availability of medicaments, elaboration on the base of received results the arrangements on optimization of the pharmaceutical support system. It was determined that not all subjects of Sudan pharmaceutical market responsible for the pharmaceutical support cope with such problems at the proper level. Thus in the private drugstores, in the net drugstores of the Ministry of defense «Alia» and in drugstores of the health insurance system the prices of medicament exceed the recommended ones in more than 2 times, an assortment also does not corresponds to both internal and international requirements. The received results indicate the unreasonable use of budget means by the separate state structures, the negative tendencies in the system of guaranteeing the availability of pharmaceutical help.It was established that the biggest suppliers of the medicaments in Sudan, excluding the state Centre of medicament support CMS cannot ensure the system of health protection with medicaments of the proper quality, assortment and the price rate. There were elaborated the organizational-economic approaches to optimization of the structure of medical support of Sudan that include the change of the flows of medicaments distribution. There was offered the structure that unites all inflows in the aforesaid CMS and then distributes resources according to the needs of organizations and regions.Introduction of the offered structures will allow improve the system of purchase and distribution of medicaments, make it transparent. The result of change will be the rise of physical and economic availability of medicaments, widening of assortment, decrease of the price of preparations, significant economy of budget resources
